New Board of Directors

The Royal Academy of Gastronomy begins a new stage with the election of Luis Suárez de Lezo as the new president of the institution.

Along with him, a new Board of Directors made up of highly accredited professionals who will work with the aim of consolidating the role of Spanish gastronomy as an undisputed, transformative, innovative and sustainable economic engine and the Royal Academy as the leading reference and interlocutor of gastronomy.

National Gastronomy Awards

The National Gastronomy Awards represent the most solid recognition of the sector in our country. With a history of 50 years, their objective is to disseminate and support the best practices in culinary matters, seeking to support the rich and growing Spanish gastronomic culture. Duke of Ahumada Digital Library

The Virtual Historical Library of the Royal Academy of Gastronomy, under the patronage of D. Javier Chico de Guzmán, Duke of Ahumada, arises with the purpose of providing the interested public with knowledge and access to the fundamental texts of Spanish gastronomy. It currently has 2000 digitized copies.

Spain in 19 dishes

Correos and the Royal Academy of Gastronomy have created the philatelic series Spain in 19 plates, with the commitment to disseminate the gastronomic cultural heritage of our country. The selection of the recipes has been made by the Autonomous Academies of Gastronomy and the seals incorporate the smell and flavor sensations of each dish, and the possibility of visualizing the preparation of the recipe.
